Direct messages, but only live video
Instagram’s direct messages let you send text, photos, videos, voice messages and more. Circlr takes the opposite approach on purpose: its direct messages are live round videos only.
Why video-only DMs
- A scammer can paste the same text into thousands of chats; recording a live video for each person does not scale.
- No links means no phishing links in your inbox.
- No files means no fake documents or invoices.
Who can message you
On Circlr, new accounts can message only mutual follows during their first 7 days. After that, people you don’t follow land in message requests, where they can send one circle until you accept.
What you keep
Received circles are saved on your phone. Our servers delete direct message circles within 48 hours.
