How Circlr works
Circlr looks like a familiar social network — profile, follows, feed, likes, stories, direct messages — with one rule: every piece of content is a round video up to 60 seconds, recorded in the app.
Joining
- Enter your email and tap the sign-in link we send — no password.
- Confirm you are 18 or older and accept the community rules.
- Record a short live selfie circle. It becomes your profile picture and shows you are a real person.
Posting
- Hold the record button to film, release to stop — or tap to start and tap again.
- Add a short caption with #hashtags if you like.
- Stories are circles that disappear after 24 hours.
- Comments are circles too: you reply to a circle with a circle.
Direct messages
Chats are one-to-one or groups of up to 10 people. You can only send circles recorded live in the app, plus emoji reactions — no text, links, files or forwarding. New accounts can message mutual follows only for their first 7 days; after that, people you don’t follow get a message request first.
Where your videos live
Everything you record or receive is saved on your phone. On the free plan our servers keep posts and replies for 30 days, stories for 24 hours and direct messages for up to 48 hours. After that, others can still watch your older circles peer-to-peer from your phone while you are online. Premium keeps your circles in the cloud for good.
